Good afternoon Year 4.
What a fantastic first week back! This week we have been really busy. The children have really enjoyed our English topic on debates and have been sharing their views and challenging each other. In maths we have been focusing on telling the time. The children have understood the passing of time and are confident telling different times on the clock. In order for this to stay fresh in their mind, please can you ensure that you are practising daily using both analogue and digital 24 hour clocks. This can be as simple as asking them to read different times during the day. There is also a really useful website, called toytheater.com which shows an interactive analogue clock with the option of the corresponding digital clock being shown. The children have also really enjoyed their trip to the Natural History Museum today, and I was really impressed with the questions that they were asking and their behaviour walking around the museum. I will upload the photos of their day on Monday, alongside what we will be covering next week.
