 Good Afternoon Year 4, 

We have made it to the end of the first term! I cannot believe how quickly it has gone! I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all the effort and resilience of the children this half term and thank them for their hard work. They have settled well into Year 4! Thank you to all the parents for their support over the term and for ensuring work is being followed up at home where possible. Thank you all for your generosity this Christmas from Mrs Stevenson and me. 

Please enjoy the holiday and ensure the children are well rested for the New Year. Where possible,  please continue to practise the times tables.

Good Afternoon Year 4, 

I hope you have all had a fantastic week. The children have worked hard to convert measures this week. They have recognised how to divide and multiply by 1000 accurately. Yesterday, we had another exciting presentation from energy workers. The children identified different ways of making the world greener. 

PE

Next week we will have PE on Tuesday afternoon (football) and Thursday after lunch. 

Next Week 

Maths - We will be learning to convert time. 

English - We will be focusing on designing a moving toy. 

Science - We will be finding patterns between volume of sound and strength of vibration. 

Computing - We will be creating Christmas databases for the elves. 

History - We will be continuing to learn about the Anglo Saxons.

Design and Technology - To create a moving toy. 

RE - We will be learning exploring the Trinity at Christmas.

Please ensure you are practising times tables with your children. Please use the Soundcheck area on TTRS.

Good Afternoon Year 4, 

I hope you have all had a fantastic week. This week we have deepened our knowledge about the Anglo Saxons which has led to our writing about the Anglo Saxons. Yesterday, we had another exciting presentation from some animal carers. The children enjoyed asking the vet questions and we learnt about how animals teach us about medicines. 

Christmas Dinner - Wednesday 8th December 2021 followed by a Film in the Afternoon
