Hello Year 4!

I hope you have all enjoyed the sunshine this week. It was lovely to catch up with you on Zoom yesterday and enjoy your 'show and tells'. It definitely helped keep my spirits high. As promised, I am including some pictures of my new puppy Stanley onto this blog (although you can certainly tell how long we have been in lockdown from the colour of my hair). Those of you who were on the Zoom call yesterday know how excited I was to share this good news with you. He has already made a great addition to The Bradford Family.

I hope you all enjoy half term and break from home learning. I would like to thank all of you who have completed and sent me work from the family project. The level of work I have received has been fantastic, I am so pleased and proud of all of your efforts.

Stay safe, take care and remember you can always email me with any questions or queries.

Miss Bradford :)

Hello Year 4!

I hope you are all continuing to keep safe and well during this time. I can't believe that Monday will be the 7th week of learning from home (not including the Easter Holidays). I am missing you all and the normal school routine very much, but it has been lovely to keep in touch with you over emails and Zoom. The smaller Zoom calls seemed to have been a success this week, but please don't worry if you did not manage to get on as I will be doing it again next week. You will all recieve information by Tuesday of your Zoom meetings. I will switch up the groups slightly this week so that you get a chance to speak to other memebers of the class, but I will still ensure that you are with your friends.

I hope you have all enjoyed taking part in the Family project this week. The standard of work that I have been receving from you all has been incredible. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for working so hard during this time, and a massive thank you to your family for supporting you with this too. I am so pleased with how hard you have been working, and how creative you have been in your designs. As I mentioned on the Zoom call, this project will be extended for another week to give you a chance to finish it off, as I know quite a few of you were using the start of the week as a few catch up days. However, if you have finished your project, I have included some extra tasks that will be on the class pages for you to complete to add to your 'scrapbook'. Make sure you read the example I have given you as there is a funny true family story that I have written and shared with you!

Have a lovely weekend and stay safe!

Hello Year 4!
It was so lovely to catch up with most of you on Zoom this week. I hope you enjoyed it. Next week we will be having another Zoom meeting, but instead of it being a whole class meeting, I will be holding several smaller meetings in groups of 6. I cannot guarantee who will be in which group as of yet, but I will try my best to make sure you are with your close friends. These sessions will be up to 15 minutes long and will give everyone a bit more a chance to speak and share anything you would like to. The meetings will be taking place on Thursday afternoon. You will receive your Zoom meeting details including the time on Monday.

When you look at the class page on Monday, you will see next week is slightly different as we are linking our English, geography, art, History, PSHE and ICT learning into a project. You will still have your daily maths tasks to complete.

Thank you to all of you who have sent emails for our rolypoly/cartwheel challenge. I will be editing this on Sunday morning, so you have up until then to send me your videos. I will post the edited video on Monday so make sure you check the blog!

Have a great weekend!

Hello Year 4!

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. I am missing you all lots, but it is lovely to receive lots of emails from you keeping me updating with how you are getting on. I hope you are finding the work okay, but please do not worry if you are finding it difficult to complete all of it. We all really appreciate that these are hard times for everyone, so just do the best you can. Remember that your health and happiness are the most important things. However, if you are struggling and want to continue with the work, please take a break from it and email me and I will do my best to support you.

Some exciting news!
If you cast your mind back to February when you all received letters from the children at the school in America, well... your reply letters made it to the children! They aren't at school either at the moment, but I took pictures of all your letters and managed to send them to their teacher who was able to share the letters with the class on a video call. They LOVED your replies!

I hope you enjoy this video below. I have set a challenge for us. I hope to get lots of replies from
you all!

Stay safe and keep in touch.
