Hello Year 4,

Just a quick note to say I hope you and your families are all keeping safe and well during this time. It feels like a long time since I have seen you all and I am missing you very much. However, it has been so lovely to receive emails from lots of you sharing your work with me, but also letting me know you are getting on. If you have not already emailed me please do so as I would love to check in with how you are doing.

I hope you are enjoying the home learning activities set and remember if you have any questions please email me.

I hope you enjoyed our staff video. Keep checking the blog every Friday from now on with weekly updates a few extra fun bits.

Keep safe!

Hello Year 4!
I hope you are all safe and well and have settled into the routine of working from home. I am missing you all lots, but it has been great to receive emails from many of you showing me all the great work you have been producing. Remember you can email me any questions you have during this time. Below I have listed a few optional activities for the children to complete over Easter as I appreciate that this is a different sort of ‘holiday’ and it may be helpful to have a few things to keep you all busy. You do not have to do all of them, choose which ones you would like to do. It may be a nice thing for you to do with your family. Try and stay positive and enjoy this very rare opportunity to be with your family at home, and enjoy each others company. Stay safe and keep in touch!

Activity ideas:
  •        -Keep a diary (if you haven’t already). This can include pictures of you and your family and all the activities you have got up to in this time. This will be great for you to reflect on when you are older.
  •         Clear out your old toys and consider donating ones you don’t play with anymore to charity. (You may have to hold onto them until after this all finishes, but this is a great time to get organised).
  •         Bake some hot cross buns. You can find lots of recipes online, but this is one I have used https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/easy-hot-cross-buns. Research why we have hot cross buns at Easter.
  •           Create some Easter acrostic poems. Use different words associated with Easter as a starting point.
  •           Learn to tie your laces!
  •       Learn to tell the time.
  •         Create and design some Easter cards.
  •           Complete some Easter inspired Zentangles! Instead of drawing a square draw an Easter egg shape and complete your zentangle design in there.
  •           Follow Joe Wick’s workouts on YouTube. Try and design your own workouts, and include some dance moves too.
  •       Do some research on the Rainforest. Think about the questions we generated as a class, and all of the things you wanted to find out about.
  •           Go on scavenger hunt on your nature walks, or in your garden. There are a few ideas of different scavenger hunts below but you can make up your own ones. Please email me if you would like copies of these.

Remember to keep reading, keep up with Mathletics, and practising your timetables using the games at the top of the blog.

Stay safe!
