18/06/21

 Good Afternoon,

We have had an exciting week in Year 4 as the Euros, supporting our teams. We have also finished our discussion text about the deforestation which has highlighted to us that we need to make some sacrifices to improve our environment.

PE - Please remember to bring in your PE Kit for every lesson.

Monday - 30 mins (trainers only)

Tuesday - 1hr (full PE kit)

Wednesday - 1hr (full PE kit)

Next week

Maths - We will be focusing on Area and Perimeter.

English - We will be starting a new text and writing an Explanation based on Charlie Small: Gorilla City.

Science - We will be continuing to classify animals and insects.

History - We will be making a map of the school grounds.

Computing - We will be understanding how emails work and how to 'cc' and 'bcc' someone.

RE - To identify how rules shape our lives.

Art - To analyse and find meaning behind a painting.

PSHE - We are learning to correctly label the female and male internal and external body parts. We will be discussing parts of the body that are necessary to reproduce. Please be aware, only scientific language will be used.

Next week, the children will be taking part in the Multiplication Check. This year, it is non- statutory but we feel as a school it will be a good indication for us to see where the children are. The results will not be published anywhere. The children should not feel pressured to do well but should ensure they try their best.

Please ensure you practice your times table on TTRS at home at least 3 times a week. On this website you can also access Numbots Continue to read your books and use the reading stems to answer questions about the text.

Have a great weekend!
