Good Afternoon Year 4, 

What a lovely way to end the week! Thank you to all the donations made and to all the parents who were able to attend! I am sure you will all agree the children sounded beautiful! 

London Zoo

On Tuesday 12th October 2021 we will be visiting London Zoo. We will be departing from school at 8:30am. The children will need a disposable packed lunch and a raincoat on the day. The children will need to wear full school uniform on the day. The trip is to support our learning about the Rainforest. We aim to be back by the end of the school day. 

Parent Consultations

On Thursday 21st October 2021, parent consultations will be held at the school from 9.30 - 12.00pm and then again from 4.00pm - 7.00pm. Please ensure you book your appointment online. 

Spooky Costume Day

On Friday 22 October 2021 we will be having a Spooky Costume Day to raise funds. Children can wear any spooky costume of their choice. Please bring in £2 and give to the class teacher or pay via Gateway to take part.

Projects

Please be reminded projects are due in next Friday. They can be in any form. The children will need to be able to discuss their projects and the work that has gone into making them. 

Next Week 

Maths - We will be learning formal methods for addition and subtraction. 

English - We will be writing a recount about our trip to the Zoo

Science - We will be learning about lots of Science at the zoo as well as looking at the teeth of different animals. 

Computing - We will be continuing to learn about our safety on the Internet

Geography - We will learning more about the vegetation of the rainforest. 

Art and Design - We will be learning about shading. 

RE - We will be continuing to learn about Sikhism. We will be exploring the various Sikh festivals.
