Good Afternoon Year 4,
I hope you have all had a great week! This week has been full of fun learning. The children have transformed 'The adventures of a dish and a spoon,' into a fantastic playscript. They have also been working hard to solve money problems using the 'counting up' method. This method highlights finding the difference between two amounts. Lots of the children need to continue to practise this at home so your support would be appreciated.
Next week
English – We are going to be going on an adventure down a rabbit hole.
Maths – We will be adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator.
Science - We will be learning to classify different materials into their states of matter and explain how we know this.
PSHE - To identify what it means to be a good friend to me.
History - To explore how the Egyptians wrote.
Times Table - x7,8 and 12
PE timetable
Monday (30 minutes - trainers only)
Wednesday Swimming (1 hour - full kit)
Thursday (1 hour - full kit)
Thursday 2nd March - World Book Day
If the children have a part in the school play please encourage the children to learn their lines over the half-term as this will support us when trying to organise the play.
Please ensure the children are using TTRS as much as possible to practise their times tables. The children have all been issued a reading book now, please ensure you are reading daily.
Have a great half- term,
Mrs Bidder
