Hello Year Four,
We have had a productive week as always! We have completed our maths unit on decimals and are currently working on money and writing in decimal notation.
The children completed two comprehensions successfully and have continued to work on extending sentences.
The children learned how to create classification keys in science, as we have continued to explore living things and their habitats.
'The Apprentice' was a huge success this afternoon and the children enjoyed watching the adverts and taking part in the activities set up by Year Six.
NEXT WEEK
English
We will be studying poetry next week. The children will be learning about alliteration and personification used in poetry. They will plan and write their own poem by the end of the week.
Maths
We will complete our unit on money next week as the children learn how to calculate with money, estimate amounts of money and solve problems involving money.
Science
The children will explore the effects environmental change have on living things and their habitats.
D and T
The electronic games will be completed and the children will evaluate their work.
Art
We will investigate another aspect of Gaudi's work, as we explore the famous 'Trencadis Animals.' The children will be sketching these in preparation for work with mosaic.
History
As we gather more information about the history of Potters Bar we will be examining photos and comparing them to recent photos of our area.
