Good afternoon,
It was lovely to see so many of you at the parent consultations this week. It’s always nice to have the opportunity to talk about the children’s progress and reflect on the year. I still can’t quite believe how quickly the time has gone – it feels like one of the fastest years I’ve experienced in teaching.
During the week, we were pleased to welcome back our local historian, who spoke to the children about life in Little Heath and Potters Bar, as well as sharing his experiences as an evacuee. The children listened with great interest and are now looking forward to our local history walk on Monday, where we’ll be exploring how the area has changed over time.
Please make sure your child is wearing sun lotion on the day and comes to school with a water bottle and a cap or sun hat.
On Thursday, the children will be taking part in their transition day, where they’ll spend time with their new teaching staff and begin to find out more about the year ahead. Parents and carers are also invited to attend the “Meet the Teacher” sessions later on in the day, where we’ll share some key information on the year ahead.
As we approach the end of the year, we’d also appreciate it if you could check at home for any school library books and ensure they are returned by the end of the week as it will allow us to prepare our library for September.
I hope you have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing many of you again on Friday when we will be holding our annual Friday Fun Day event!
Thank you for your continued support.
