Week ending 26th January 2024

 Hello Year Four,

We have had an amazing week! Our trip to the Hindu temple was fantastic! The children learned so much about another religion and culture. They were extremely engaged and interested. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and attend to all our needs. The lunch was delicious!

We began the day by visiting the temple and learning about their Gods, how they pray and their daily timetable, which begins at 4am!

The children were able to dress up in traditional costume and have their faces painted. They were shown rituals and features of the Hindu religion.

We rode on a cart pulled by oxen to visit the dairy, the cows and the oxen.

It was a wonderful and memorable day and I will share a few photos with you.

|This week we have also been continuing to learn multiplication and division in our maths lessons.
We are working on alliteration in English and will be using it to create a poem.
For geography we explored how the indigenous people of the Amazon Rainforest live.
In Spanish the children are learning the words to describe family.
We explored dreams and goals in our PHSE lesson.
